I hesitated for a while because of the premium cost, but the tungsten 136g case definitely makes it worth the high price. Wore it down to the marina last weekend and the turquoise dial pops in the sun. Funny enough, my delivery driver thought I was signing for car parts because the box was so heavy. It feels completely legit on the wrist.

Black hole crystal. Easy GL.

I picked this up right before heading down to Miami for the week, wanting a gold piece that could take the heat without risking a gen. The gloss and depth on the black ceramic bezel catch the sun perfectly when you are outside. It feels incredibly solid on the wrist. Knocking off a point only because getting the rubber strap sized to my exact wrist took some trial and error.

The email communication was highly professional when I asked about the Dandong 4131 specifications and the 136g weighted case. They answered all my technical questions regarding the Chromalight application and chronograph engagement. My wife even commented on how fast they replied with the tracking information. The ceramic tachymeter engraving is crisp and the entire piece feels incredibly well constructed.

Initial thoughts: the tungsten addition does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Hitting that 136g mark means it wears securely and doesn’t have that hollow, light feel you get with standard steel cases. Edit (4 months later): It holds up well to daily rotation and the gold tone is still looking solid without wearing off on the edges. See attached pics.

i have been examining the custom dandong 4131 movement in this vsf v3 and the first thing that stands out is how entirely quiet the silent rotor is compared to earlier iterations since normally automatic chronographs have a distinct wobble but this one is incredibly stealthy inside the 136g weighted case while the turquoise dial and snailed counters align perfectly with the tachymeter bezel making the whole watch look really solid on the wrist without any of the usual tells.

Stunning dial texture and color.

The 18kt gold markers have perfect marker alignment across the turquoise dial. Looks spot on.

Subdial printing is really sharp and the pushers work exactly as they should. Pretty much NWBIG territory for me.

The overall build quality is really good and feels very solid out of the box. I am highly satisfied with the finish on the ceramic bezel.

This is my 2nd purchase here and the VSF Daytona does not disappoint in person. I bought a cheap gold piece off DHGate last year that turned green and fell apart in two weeks, but this 136g weighted version is a totally different tier. The snailed counters and solid Oysterflex really sell the luxury look.
